Certification requirements

is one the core requirement to be certified as AIS – Specialty in HP Storage Data
Protector and an elective for the ASE – StorageWorks [2005] credential. This exam will also act as an optional core for the ASE – HP StorageWorks [2008] credential.

This level of certification measures the competencies required for hands-on

needs. The ideal candidate is anyone who deploys business class solutions based on HP technologies. Individuals pursuing this level must meet the prerequisite of having the Accredited Platform Specialist certification.
Accredited Systems Engineer
This level of certification measures the competencies required for hands-on integration and support of technical solutions in complex, enterprise class environments. Given a set of customer business requirements, this individual is expected to be able to design, support and integrate platform, operating system, storage, network and option components to solve business needs. The ideal candidate is anyone who deploys complex solutions based on HP technologies. Individuals pursuing this level must meet the prerequisite of having the Accredited Integration Specialist certification.
Prerequisites
Exam participants should be aware of basic host platform usage and be comfortable navigating through system management utilities associated with the specified platform. They should also have a fundamental understanding of SANs and tape back-up systems. Operating system pre-requisites are required for the StorageWorks AIS track. AIS level certification is a pre-requisite for ASE level certification.
