Certification Requirements
The Implementing HP StorageWorks XP Disk Array Solutions, HP0-J10, exam is an elective to be certified as an ASE – HP StorageWorks [2005] and an ASE –
HP StorageWorks [2008], and is a core exam for the APC – Specialty in HP
StorageWorks XP Solutions [2005] credential.
This ASE level of certification measures the competencies required for hands-on integration and support of technical solutions in complex, enterprise class environments. Given a set of customer business requirements, this individual is expected to be able to design, support, and integrate platform, operating
system, storage, network and option components to solve business needs. The ideal candidate is anyone who deploys complex solutions based on HP technologies. Individuals pursuing this level must meet the prerequisite of
having the Accredited Integration Specialist certification.
The APC level of certification requires an individual to gather customer
business requirements, then plan and design an enterprise solution within the
Storage specialty area. Individuals pursing this level must meet the prerequisite of having the APC – HP Enterprise Storage Solutions or ASE – HP StorageWorks [2005] certification.
Prerequisites
Prerequisite for the Accredited Systems Engineer (ASE) – HP StorageWorks
[2008] is the AIS – HP StorageWorks [2008] credential.
Exam Details
At the beginning of the exam, you will be asked to answer several survey questions. The survey questions are designed to assist the exam development team in accurately profiling test results and to improve future exams.

2.4 Provide a list of the orderable XP array hardware components and describe customer relevant information about the items.

3.4 Given a customer’s concern for 24×7x356 uptime, describe the process and features of an XP microcode upgrade.
4.1 Describe the basic RAID concept, including spindle count and redundancy as it relates to the XP in performance
and availability.
4.2 Describe the concept of parity group and free space as
it applies to drives with RAID theory applied.
4.3 Describe how free space can be used in the XP arrays, including a discussion of emulation type and fixed volume creation.
